Here we are today doing art time while it rains and rains and rains outside. The first picture is a face, I see it, don't you? Looks kind of like George Bush on a good day.

Swimming suit glasses
Yesterday Zola and I were talking about how it is going to get warmer (eventually) and that we will be able to go swimming. She was so excited talking about getting her swimming suit on and jumping in the water and splashing all around. She was also saying that we could put on our "swimming suit glasses" and then a few moments later shouted out "goggles!". I just thought that swimming suit glasses was the cutest thing. It made me smile deep inside. It is moments like those that make all the other crazy ones worth it.

Cool drawing!! And that looks like a fun thing to have art time on. Is it the sunglasses that she is excited for or the swimming goggles? Either way it is such an awesome authentic excitement that children have.
so fun! and I love your comments...
what kind of crayons is Zola using? are they even crayons?
The art easel was a gift for Zola's second birthday. (Parents Mini-Monet)

She is actually using wet-erase type markers that came with the easel.
