As anyone can imagine, potential buyers are not knocking down our door trying to view our condo. With this in mind, we have resurrected some of the clutter (I mean toys) for Zola. The play stove/oven and toy trains have been rescued from storage. The trains have been a big hit. Zola is a little bit older now and really enjoys setting up the trains in different configurations. We are really enjoying the new play room!
During the torrential rains last weekend we made it out to the Chicago Children's Museum. As always we had a blast and Zadie is now old enough to enjoy the crawl areas for babies. Woody and Zola built some fun water diversion projects (Woody geeked out on the building and Zola enjoyed pushing the toy boats in the water, but I swear she is part engineer!)
It must be musuem time again because we also went to the Peggy Notebaert museum this week. Zola has her butterfly dress on for the occasion for when we go into the butterfly sanctuary (the best part of the museum in my opinion!) Zadie really enjoyed watching all the butterflies fly around too. They converted an old meeting room into an activity area for kids. For Zola, the best part of the museum was playing with a rubber snake and some flat rocks. Ah, her imagination is always the most entertaining part of the whole day.
In other news, Zola is potty trained again. As soon as I gave up all hope of her using the potty and just let her wear pull-ups again and never asked her about the potty she seemed to fix the problem herself. She is my daughter, and must be in control of the situation at all times, this shouldn't surprise me.
