Zola showed off her swimming prowess during our annual trip to Union Pier, MI. Unfortunately I have no pictures to prove it but just ask her dad. Zola would kick her legs and float all over the pool in her floaty ring. She had a blast! A real pool sure did beat all the deck "swimming" that we do.
Today was Labor Day and we were telling Zola it was a holiday so Daddy didn't have to work. While in the car she kept asking to go the Holiday, as if it were a place. "Let's go to the Holiday Mom," Zola would say. We kept trying to explain that Holiday was a thing not a place (unless of course you are British and are going on Holiday - so then it could be like a place).
Zola's two favorite things to say these days are:
1) Stop talking Mom/Dad.
(She says this when we are having an adult conversation and she wants to interupt)
2) What are you talking about Mommy/Daddy?
(This is usually said in the car when she can't hear what we are talking about OR if she did hear but wants to talk about it over and over again) What are you talking about Mom? What are you talking about Mom? What are you talking about Mom? (kind of repetitive, just like that!)
Zadie got new pajamas and Zola saw them on the bed and thought they were hers. All I heard was "Hey Mom, I'm trying on my new space suit." Woody helped her put on the top and thought either I bought the wrong size or it as Zadie's. Yep, Zadie's.
