Well, today was the big pack up the house day. I spent yesterday packing us up to move across the street for a week or two, while today the entire place has been put in boxes and wrapped in blankets. According to my invoice they used 46 rolls of tape. We have GOT to make these rolls larger for bleep's sake. The entire process took 5.5 hours. This is after my nephew, Ben, had packed about 30+ small boxes and moved a BUNCH of miscellaneous furniture into storage last summer when we put the place on the market. It is a sad comment on how we live our lives, laden down by STUFF! They didn't pack our beds so we are still sleeping here one more night before the first of two moves. My other comment would be that it costs a small fortune to have someone pack & move your entire house, but man, is it worth it. I think I could probably handle the packing just fine (without Z1 & Z2), but no thank you for moving large furniture up and down stairs.
Zola got sad after bumping her head into her wrapped up dollhouse and cried a bunch and then just said, "I just want to go home." Wow, I couldn't have said it better myself. Here we are, still at "home" and it really wasn't home anymore because everything was wrapped up. When the movers left for the day Zola asked when they were going to put the train table back up. This is the cornerstone of her playroom. I told it would get put back up in the new house. I just don't think this whole moving thing makes a lot of sense. Hopefully, we will have a fun time in our temporary home as we know the neighbors there. I think having them will make the transition for Zola easier.

Zola tried on her Winter PJ's one last time before they were packed up! Jumping on the bed.

Checking out the packers, stealth mode
One last jump, as a frog!
