Zadie loves being on a routine. I think the time change just about rocked her world - she didn't know what to think when I was putting her to bed an hour later! Let's just say she didn't like it too much. We have since readjusted (somehow).
Zadie's day:
5:45am wakeup, play, eat
8am, nap
9:30-1:00, play, eat
1:00-2:30, nap
2:30-6:00, play eat
6:00pm, goodnight
I think going to bed at 6pm is pretty crazy. I have tried pushing her to 7pm but it just doesn't work. She still wakes up at 5:45. I read about babies like this. The super schedule lover. I remember when I had Zola people telling me of putting their babies to bed at 6pm. I vowed never to do it. Guess who's doing it?
Amazingly, this schedule works very well. Zola and Zadie are on slightly varied schedules so they get plenty of mommy alone time. Zola takes a big nap in the afternoon so she doesn't go to bed until 9pm, thus ensuring some serious one on one playtime with her Daddy. Woody has been working a lot lately and has not always been able to make it home before her bedtime. Zola has missed her Daddy and makes sure anytime that Daddy is home, he is with her, playing with her, building her pillow forts (of which Zola does not allow me to build, as I can't seem to do it as good as Daddy), reading to her, watching videos together, removing toe jam together, you name it!
Every morning after I have a shower (Zadie plays in the bathroom), Zadie & I make our way to the kitchen. Here she does her morning circuit. She goes around the entire front room, making sure it was just the way she left it. She opens any cabinets (that are not childproof and actually open) and removes a few things from each. She takes the towels off the racks and removes her bibs from the stove bar. She opens and closes the dishwasher about 25 times. She inspects the rug. She licks a few table legs and then she has breakfast. It is nice having her smiling face around. She really is a cutey.
This is part of Zadie's morning circuit. She likes to open and close the dishwasher after "helping" me to empty it. She crinkles up her face because she thinks I am going to take a flash.
Zadie already likes to swiffer. I knew she was my child.
Zola has been really in to her toe jam lately. I think she has more than normal because she has new socks for the fall and I guess we didn't really wear socks all summer long. She even wants to remove my toe jam. Come on over, she'd probably remove yours too!
