I'm gonna eat your drama: Let's play in the toilet!

Zadie is 10.5 months old and she is a mover and shaker these days. The girl is an amazing escape artist. She can escape out of any high chair belt and stand up in her high chair. She loves to give me the recorder and train whistle to play. She can open any drawer or cabinet that isn't child proof and loves to remove all of its contents. She loves to play the game of give and take, she'll give me something and take it back, and give me something, and take it back - about 100 times. She loves to take the tea bags in and out of the box and in and out and in and out. You get the picture. Her most favorite thing to do is to open the toilet and attempt to close the lid and open and close, but unfortunately, she often just smashes her hand and little fingers in the process. She also likes to try and get the water in the toilet. I may have to get a toilet lock because no matter how many times she smashes her hands she is drawn to this activity like a moth to a candle. She wants to master the toilet lid! I do shut the door whenever we are not in the bathroom, but she plays in the bathroom/her bedroom while I take a shower and the toilet is so tempting.

Zadie also likes to attack and wrestle. She is very silly this way. She will "get you" and then roll around the ground with you. She loves to throw her head back and stick her belly out and laughs when you do it with her. She is too busy to snuggle these days so I'll take any wrestling I can get, it's as close to snuggling as she'll sit still for. This also means that she barely will sit still to eat. She has taken to eating from the step stool. Step stool...you are whispering incredulously? (Don't worry, I clean it daily). It makes the perfect snack stop. She will barely sit still in the high chair so eating on the go seems to fit. This also means we have been doing stand up diaper changes for over a month now. The girl just won't sit still.
