I was surprised at how much I liked the cruise. I think having a break from day to day chores and just spending time having fun was really a good break. The kids also actually slept pretty well. That alone is like a mini vacation. A little warm weather and sunshine doesn't hurt either. I think my fondest memory may be sitting on the balcony, drinking a glass of wine and looking up at all the stars. The wind and the waves a perfect backdrop. Snuggled deep in a blanket with Woody at my side and the kids asleep. Now that, my friends, is heavenly.

Vacation!
We actually went on a vacation! It was amazing. We went at the end of March but it already feels like a year ago. We took a four day NCL cruise to The Bahamas with my in-laws (Te & Peggy) and Auntie Beth (my sister). I wish I would have taken better pictures but this is it. The rest of the time I was either chasing Zadie around or relaxing!
Limo ride to airport. Zoom in on Zola's smile, this is authentic excitement. Her smile is about to pop off of her face!
Getting ready to board the ship. Zola was ready and wearing her goggles as we checked in. I am not quite sure what she thought we were going to do, but in her mind it involved swimming, immediately!
Zola found her life jacket as soon as we found our room. She wanted to put it one immediately. She traded her goggles for the life jacket. She was super excited and wore it around the ship those first couple of hours. People either thought she was cute or crazy or that her parents were crazy. We tried to smile and wave, smile and wave. If you look behind her we haven't even left the dock. Just having a nice lunch.

We splurged and got a suite to house our family of four. Woody & I had a super comfy king sized bed in it's own room with pocket door. Zola slept on a couch bed in the suite area with Zadie in the pack-n-play. Both rooms opened to a large private balcony at the very back of the ship (I wish I had a picture). Our bathroom even had a jacuzzi tub. Zola loved the bubbles!
Zadie painting water at splashing pool area. It was still pretty chilly & windy on deck but we sucked it up and went swimming a little bit. We were ready for any warm up!
In Nassau we went to a bird zoo. Here is Zadie playing with the dirt or giving a high five, you decide.
The girls loved the sand. Zola loved being chased by the waves. Zadie loved finding her place in the sand (safely wrapped in a towel so her feet wouldn't get sandy) and playing. Zadie eventually relaxed and actually walked and sat in the sand. The water was not quite warm enough for swimming but we enjoyed lots of splashing.

I think Zola didn't like her feet in the sand around that age either. That's funny. Remember when we were in IN and she didn't want her feet to touch the sand. I am so glad you guys had an awesome vacation all together. Thanks for sharing the pics of it.
