My brother (Chris), his wife (Julie) and their two daughters (Abby & Maggie) were there also picking up their pop-up camper for camping season. We had a great dinner of charcoal grilled cheeseburgers and corn on the cob. Zola loved playing with her cousins in their pop-up camper and couldn't stop talking about Maggie.

Woody had to take the train back to the city Sunday night to prepare for his work trip to California on Monday. Of course we made sure he made his contribution to the farm before he left. Woody helped my Dad finish building the swing set for the kids. Zola lovingly referred to it as the "swimming set." When my Dad said he was going to build the kids a swing set I didn't expect it to be this gigantic and awesome, but I should have known better. My Dad broke up the old concrete foundation of the garage and filled in the area with wood chips. It makes a great play ground!!!
New Play Set...
Zola loved having all that space to run about and explore. My mom thought that she was really brave exploring the tall grasses, piles of concrete, bugs, plants, and anything else you can imagine. Zola got to ride her own tractor! She also helped make a strawberry rhubarb pie with fresh garden ingredients. My mom let her roll out her own pie dough and make pie crust cookies - yummy! Zola even ate the pie once we convinced her that the filling was sweet and yummy and NOT salad.
Auntie Bef (Beth) also got to come and play on Monday & Tuesday. She got called off of work and was able to stay overnight and enjoy at least a very warm Monday. As always, she was super helpful with Zola, giving her baths, reading to her, playing with her. I was very thankful to have had her there.
It was super windy on the farm. Zadie got more wind this weekend then in her entire life! She really enjoyed being outside but especially like looking at the trees. I think babies could stare at trees for hours and hours and never get bored (hungry maybe, but not bored).
Zadie...
My parents have many vintage toys stashed in their attic. These toys are always brought down during holidays or when kids visit. Zola enjoyed immensely playing with 30 year old Barbies, Little People, Weebles, etc.
Vintage Toys...
We had a great time! I can't wait to come back again soon and play. My parent's internet was down and that is why I haven't posted in a long time. See the next post for the Farm conclusion...

wow - what an awesome swing set. It is more like a playground! Zola looks too cute playing farmer. And Zola's double chin has nothing on Zadie's thighs.
